People use to say that São Paulo is not Brazil. And that´s truth; the city is richer and much more developed than the rest of the country. But despite this economical fact, you will be able to find here people from all the country that have emmigrated to São Paulo. They are northeast people running away from the lack of rain or people from the north tired of the poverty. And even south people looking for jobs in the most important economical center of Latin America.
Furthermore, São Paulo is full of people from all the world which come here for bussiness or just for sightseeing. These tourists plus the enormous number of immigrants which have moved to São Paulo during the 20th century form the and incredibly mixed actual population. This variety is very culturaly precious for the city and, out of here, can only be found in cities like New York, London or Paris.
